Local musician Nick Eagon riffs on New Year’s Eve

The Violet Nines are a vibrant outfit with alternative rock sounds influenced by funk, pop, and rhythm and blues. Each band member – Andrew Elmeer, Benjamin Cline, Nick Eagon, O’SAY and Veronica Fritsch – brings unique personality and talent to the stage.

The band emerged on the Twins Cities music scene in the summer of 2017 with the release of their debut single, “Made to Be.” What began as a solo project coalesced into a dynamic group of musicians. The Violet Nines started creating what would become Midnight Muse, the band’s first full-length release, in the fall of that year. This collection of songs, including “Day Job” and “Beyond the Stars”, released just before the feature-length LP in the summer of 2018.

The Violet Nines connect with their listeners through electric live performances and a unique take on contemporary music. A lot happened for the troupe this fall, including their first radio performance in October, recording new songs in November and playing a feature show the night before Thanksgiving. Keep track of The Violet Nines. Their unique brand of sound is just on the verge of breaking out of the Twin Cities.

Tune in to frontman Nick Eagon’s eclectically stylish playlist for his upcoming New Year’s Eve party, including a favorite Violet Nines hit.
