People are made up of social identities. For instance, I am a Minnesota native, art-lover, editor, foodie, and a maker. Of all the identities I hold, I take most pride in being a maker. A “maker” holds the power of creating things. You put art, ideas, jobs, opportunities, or products into your community. It could also mean you’re an influencer or educator, you help form individuals into their own social identities, you make makers. In this issue, we profiled some of our favorite Eden Prairie makers, all unique and all greatly adding to our community. From making magic to making furniture, to making well-rounded and successful graduates, we celebrate our makers. May these stories of your neighbors fill you with inspiration and pride.
