HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer

Join the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) in taking strides to change the course of ovarian cancer at the 2017 HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer. Participate in either a 5K run or a 2K walk around Rosland Park in Edina and engage in a variety of family-friendly activities. Register and form a team to fundraise and make a difference! Prairie Brewfest

The fourth annual Prairie Brewfest craft-beer festival will be held 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 9th at Purgatory Creek Park in Eden Prairie. Enjoy samples of craft beer, cider, and wine while listening to live music from Dave Lindahl and Wondercure. Food and games will also be available at the event, as well as a new “Selfie Station” where you can take your own photos to post on social media. Prairie Brewfest is for those ages 21 and older and is a fundraiser for the Eden Prairie Community Foundation. A number of craft brewers including 612 Brew, Finnegan’s, Insight Brewing, OMNI Brewing Co., Unmapped Brewery, and more will be participating in this year’s Brewfest. Collection of One Acts

Eden Prairie Players is bringing new unpublished plays to the stage for the 13th Annual Collection of One Acts. Over 300 submissions came in for the 2017 Collection of One Acts. Play dates include September 15th and 16th at 7:30 PM, September 17th at 2:00 PM, September 21st through the 23rd at 7:30 PM, and September 24th at 2:00 PM at the Riley-Jacques Barn. Vino Classico with a Craft Beer Chaser

The popular wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser Vino Classico is back. The Eden Prairie A.M. Rotary Club organizes the annual event to raise more than $30,000 for its many community, national, and international programs, including student scholarships; service projects to India, Peru, Africa and Honduras; Golden Eagle Awards, STRIVE student mentoring, the “Soaring Bird: Peace through Service” community art project; community grants to local organizations, and an annual recognition banquet for Eden Prairie High School behind-the-scenes achievers called Above & Beyond Awards.
Vino Classico will be held from 6:30 to 9:00 PM Saturday, October 7th, at the Eden Prairie Community Center. The event will feature more than 100 wines, beer from at least 10 vendors and several varieties of soda. Attendees will be able to order specially priced bottles of the beverages through Eden Prairie Liquor. In addition, they can enjoy food samples from local restaurants and stores. Tickets to Vino Classico cost $35 in advance and $40 at the door. They are available from members of the Eden Prairie A.M. Rotary Club or at the three Eden Prairie city-owned liquor stores – located at the Prairie Village Mall, near Byerlys, and across from Cub Foods grocery store.
