4th of July Hometown Celebration

Kick-off your 4th of July with music, entertainment, beach and splash pad activities, bingo, beer and food! The celebration will begin on July 3rd from 1:00 to 10:00 PM at Round Lake Park. Jazz on the Prairie Big Band, Eden Prairie Community Band, and Free and Easy will be performing throughout the night. The celebration continues on the 4th from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM with a pickle ball tournament, Optimists 5K Run, street art by Shawn McCann, face painting and henna artists, BMX demonstrations, a karaoke contest, bingo and live music, and a firework show to close the night at 10:00 PM. 4th of July Hometown Celebration is sponsored by Eden Prairie Smiles, J.A. Staring: Tiyumba

Tiyumba means “lets love them”, and is the heart of the mission of Tiyumba Drum and Dance. With the spirit of traditional African culture, Tiyumba reaches out and includes All in a joyful expression of life and community and offer opportunities to join in the rhythm and movement of Africa drum and dance. Tiyumba is performing at Starring Lake Amphitheatre on July 16th at 7:00 PM. Along with fantastic music enjoy popcorn, caramel corn, ice cream treats, smoothies and a variety of candy.

Wings of the North Air Show

AirExpo is the premier air exposition in Minnesota. Featuring over 50 World War II and vintage aircraft both flying and on the ground for your inspection. In the Hall of Legends, 60 aviation heroes from WWII to the space shuttle tell their stories and sign autographs. Food vendors and a kids’ area round out the event for a day the entire family can enjoy. The Wings of the North Air Show is on July 15th through the 16th at Flying Cloud Airport.

EPHS Dance Camp

The 2017 EPHS Dance Team is offering a dance camp for youth. Led by dance team coaches and 45 team dancers, camp will be held Thursday, July 13th and Friday, July 14th from 9:00am – 12:00pm at EPHS. Girls should be entering Kindergarten through 8th grade in the fall of 2017. Campers will be put into groups based on age and ability. No dance experience is necessary!
