Not-So-Scary Nature Trails

Want a fun Halloween activity for your young ones without the traditional spookiness?  Come visit the Outdoor Center on October 29th and discover all things Halloween, the not-so-scary ones at least.  Learn about pumpkins, owls, bats, worms, scarecrows, and much more while walking the lantern-lit trail.  Participants also collect a sweet treat at each station during the Halloween educational adventure.  All ages of children are welcome ($5 per child), and must have an adult present.  Times of the event are staggered from 6pm to 8pm, young ones are recommended to register for earlier times during daylight.  For more information and to register visit www.edenprairie.org

Donate to PROP

PROP (People Reaching Out to People)’s food shelf services over 450 households from Eden Prairie and Chanhassen each month, and needs your donations to continue their amazing work.  PROP’s most needed items include: jelly/jam, pancake mix, syrup, coffee, baked beans, healthy snacks, and feminine products.  Fresh produce is also one of the most requested items so feel free to donate fruits and vegetables from your garden!  They accept donations Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 1pm, and Wednesday 4pm to 6:30pm.  PROP’s donation area is towards the back of their building at 14700 Martin Drive in Eden Prairie.  For more information and a more detailed list of most needed items please visit www.propfood.org

EP High School Career Fair

Inspire teens as they discern their career path by sharing your expertise and advice.  Community business leaders are invited to demonstrate their commitment to their community and future industry leaders by speaking to thousands of high school students about their experiences.  The Eden Prairie High School Career Fair takes place on October 25th from 9am to 11am.  If you have any interest in speaking at this annual event please visit epchamber.org, fill out the attached form and return to the Chamber via fax, email or mail.

Halloween on the Mall

If you are searching for a safe alternative to trick-or-treating look no further, Halloween on the Mall offers a stress free evening of holiday fun.  Dress your kids up in costume and bring them to Eden Prairie Center on October 31st from 5pm to 7:30pm.  Along with trick-or-treating at each of the mall merchants, the young ghouls and goblins will enjoy entertainment in the Center Court as well as a chance to meet Eden Prairie police officers and firefighters.  Halloween on the Mall is sponsored by Eden Prairie Smiles.  It is asked for teens and adults to not wear masks to the event.

Purple Reign Eden Prairie Chamber 2016 Gala

Come celebrate the Minnesota Vikings’ 35th year of being members of the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce at this year’s Purple Reign Gala.  The night’s entertainment will be provided by The Purple Xperience, a Prince tribute band led by former Prince and The Revolution member, Doctor Fink.  Along with fantastic music the gala will also feature a silent and live auction as well as appearances by local personalities and celebrities.  Purple Reign takes place on October 15th at the new U.S. Bank Stadium.  For more information contact Audrianna Schenck at 952-944-2830.
